2005 Dow's Vale do Bomfim Douro Reserva, DOC Douro red wine - 45% Franca, 30% Roriz, 20% Touriga Naciona and 5% Tinta Barroca.  Purple inky hue.  Violets, fresh raspberry and mocha are present and accounted for in the straight forward easy quaffer.  The pleasant red berry flavors and plum are in a medium weight and balanced Douro wine that has good acidity and very little in the way of tannins showing.  Tasty, simple and immediately approachable, this is priced for regular drinking and delivers on its mission. 85+ points ~ 6-5-08
