2006 Crasto Douro Tinto

2006 Crasto Douro, DOC red wine - From 50% Tinta Roriz, 20% Tinta Barroca, 15% Touriga Franca and 15% Touriga Nacional grapes.  Primary floral and red berry fruits, supported by an herbal scent with smooth, concentrated, bright wild berry flavors,  that have yet to meld.  Simple, juicy and a bit too fruity for my liking, with a modest finish.  A straight forward wine to accompany a hamburger or to be consumed on a weeknight.  Drink through 2013.  85 points ~ 7/6/08
