Tuke Holdsworth Tawny Port – Light ruby with glints of amber. It filled out so much the 2nd day, I was quite surprised, as it was mostly thin and hot the first day (not too dissimilar from the Personal Reserve’s showing initially). Still, in the Tawny remains disparate spirit on the nose and it seems tired, old and lacking aromatic freshness, even the 2nd day when it was certainly no better. Dense and chewy, but this shows little signs of Tawny quality. The flavors are not pleasant but are clean. Honestly, if the price were right, this would be fine to cook with at this juncture.
