Welcome to For The Love Of Port!

Thanks for registering at For The Love Of Port! Welcome to one of the most active Port, Madeira and Douro Wine sites on the web! We are very happy to have you join our friendly community. Just a few quick things to note before you register:

Terms of Use

Read Our Real Names Policy Before Registering

Real Names Policy

When registering, you MUST use your REAL NAME as your USER NAME in one of the following formats:

  • John Doe
  • John D
  • J Doe

Why?

The FTLOP Forum is the most popular Port and Madeira forum on the Web, where the most knowledgeable group of Port wine and Madeira drinkers on the Internet gather as a community to discuss topics related to Port and Madeira. Guests can browse the forum without registering on FTLOP, but you must register in order to post messages on the forum, get email notifications when someone replies to one of your posts, and to use the private messaging system. We have worked very hard to keep the forum a friendly place, and registering adds a level of accountability and transparency to the discussions that take place on the forum, preventing potentially disruptive users from hiding behind an anonymous screen name.

Like other wine forums on the Web, FTLOP requires that you use your REAL NAME as your username when you register. If you have a beloved “screen name,” you may always put that name in your signature at the bottom of your posts.

If you register with any other username other than your real name in one of the formats above, you will be asked by a moderator to go into your profile and change it, or risk having your account deleted from our site. If you have specific concerns, please email admin  AT fortheloveofport  DOT  com
