One of the Martinez greats. Still wonderfully dark, it could pass for half it's age, and still full and elegant. Good for a century+ this one. Score 9-9
Curiously, a leaking Martinez 55 is the first bottle I have rewaxed (last week), using your marvelous method. Thanks :)

Re: The Wine Show

Susanna and I really like this show too. Fun and informative. At a Port Walk (2017 I think) I was told that Joe Fattorini had started working for Berry Bros, which I guess was why they filmed there quite a lot.

Re: Christmas is near--What are your Port Plans?

I'm hoping my Father in Law will open the bottle of F85 I gave him for his birthday. Otherwise, I hope he will open the W80 I'm bringing. Or, if I'm lucky, both.

Re: Christmas is near--What are your Port Plans?

I am planning to open a bottle of Cockburn 1960 for Christmas Dinner at my in-laws. Based on previous experience, three of those in attendance will enjoy a small glass and I will struggle through to take care of the remainder of the bottle [cheers.gif] Well done, taking one for the team. Manfully s...

Don't we have to drink Port from the House that we are reading about? Have you read the small print?

Thank you Glen. I confess to preferring red to the brown sticky stuff although I did have an opportunity to try a rather lovely 68 Noval Colheita. Hasn't turned me to the dark side yet though! :)

Re: Lots of new faces ... please introduce yourself

Hello All, As I've now posted my first post here, I'd better introduce myself. i've always liked Vintage Port, but until relatively recently I hadn't tried that many. Over the last few years I've been buying more Vintage Port (and some good Crusted and Late Bottled Vintage), and have been lucky eno...
