What!
I visited last year. He had a two year old baby! I was playing with him at the winery. I think it was his third child! And he had doubled his production volume the past few years! Things were looking so positive. I'm so shocked and saddened.

Yes, poor condition bottles from decades ago may have poor bottle necks as commonly as poor corks.

I think I've encountered only a couple corked Madeira. Seems pretty rare. Not sure why.

I've been to most of the museums. The chocolate may be the one I'm missing. The Bridge collection is, by far my favorite. I went twice.

Re: Henriques and Henriques ancient Reservas

The labels can be a bit confusing. Sometmes they say rebottling and other times recorking. Not sure if they really rebottle but it could be possible. I know Ricardo Freitas has been known to dump bottles into a cask for a short time to give them more air before rebottling.

Re: Event: THAT'S NOT PORT - SAMMAMISH PORT CLUB

Some of the Ficklin wines are stewed. I've had these and they are too. Their best wines were from Lake County way up north. Sadly those vineyards didn't belong to them and they were ripped up some years ago.
