Re: What have you opened this week?
Here is the official count for Glenn's birthday tour. On the tour, 111 Ports, 40 table wines. Including the visits to Bacchus Vini, Kopke, Quinta da Bom Dia, and Burmester before the tour; 141 Ports, 40 table wines, and one Madeira. I didn't keep track of the table wines before the tour. I definite...

I took a flyer at that auction as well. Assuming the head of the JVM would have some decent stuff in his cellar. I believe the organization started in the 50's but the wine is probably much older.

Re: Tasting A Dozen Centuries Of Madeira
Two bottles of Pather! [notworthy.gif] Gotta be a first. If I understand correctly, the Rare Wine Co. version, Is from Jose Borges, one of the grandsons. He rebottled the bottles he inherited. I believe all bottles of Pather were originally bottled at the same time from demijohn in front of the survi...

Re: What Madeira(s) Have You Purchased Recently?
From the Madeira Wine Company, probably then known as the Madeira Wine Association. Most likely the same wine as the Blandy's 1880 Solera Solera. Both labels were members and they consolidated wine stocks. If so, this is an excellent wine. Perhaps a tad deficient in acidity for my tastes (I'm a huge...

Re: what is meant by stylistic certification

Someone else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD3VMAm-9iA I'm told with proper training, you don't sacrifice your voice. I'm really impressed on how Youtube is able to generate subtitles from such "music" or noise ahaha. In the same vein as Maiden, there are a lot of alternatives in Europ...
