Decanted 7 hrs, which is needed. Dark purple colour with a blue-red rim. Aroma full of dark red berries with hints of wood and minerals. Not so dominated by “raw” juice as many other young vintage ports. Medium to full body. Although being a very young vintage port, this one is quite elegant in addition to being powerful. Relatively complex with some tannins at start, then minerals, dark chocolate and prunes towards the end. A nice vintage port that will develop well in the short and possibly medium term. Medium length aftertaste. 91 pts.
