1977 Gould Campbell Vintage Port

Post by David Spriggs »

Extremely dark color for a 42 year old wine. Amazing nose of blackberry, sandalwood, forest floor, pear and spun sugar. Very suave in the mouth. Very mouth-filling. Tannins appear. This is still young! Great acidity and depth of flavor. Wow. Love this! 95 points.

I had this in 2013 and was done in by lack of decant. Still youthful and vibrant, however. Thanks for the TN and wish I had one.
Any Port in a storm!

Yes, This Port NEEDS a lot of decant time. I would say that 24 hours wouldn't hurt!
