Port finished DOC wine? Has anyone tried?

Description:
We’re honored to bring you the first-ever Port-finished Reserva from the legendary Van Zeller family. They’ve made premium Port in the Douro Valley since 1715, with 15 generations passing on their knowledge and traditions. And the excellent-quality 2015 harvest inspired them to reach a new milestone …

This new arrival brings together two of the Van Zellers’s strongest suits: luscious Port and bold reds – both crafted from the country’s flagship grape, Touriga Nacional. Here’s winemaker Alvaro van Zeller on what to look forward to:

“Our limited-edition Douro Reserva red was aged 12 months in barrels previously used to mature vintage Port. The result is a little smoother, a little rounder, a little more luxurious. Enjoy!”

Expect waves of sweet, dark fruit and delicate spicy notes on the long finish. Be the first to try it!
