Really good podcast with a lot of information about the future of Port, the Douro and even how the Baixo could become the favored place to make Douro wines.

He is not the first to talk about the future excellence of the Baixo Corgo when down the road Climate Change has a greater effect on the Douro and heats up the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior to less even phenolic ripening in the next decade and thereafter.
That said, it is always worth listening to Dirk's Douro and Port pontifications.

I think he means that mass produced supermarket quality Port should be eliminated.
