2 x 2015 Poeira Douro
2 x 2019 Quinta De Soalheiro Alvarinho
1 x 2017 Duorum Tons Douro Red

I had the 2017 Duorum Tons at one of my favorite restaurants in Madeira - Casa de Pasto Justiniano - with the espatada. Wow. This is the best "Tons" that I can recall. So I'm buying one to see if I get the same reaction. It's a silly price at $9.99.

I had the 2019 Soalheiro at another favorite - Restaurante Vila do Peixe. 2019 seems like a step up from 2018 and maybe better than 2017 (which is wonderful as well).

I had the 2015 Poeira on last year's Port Harvest Tour. It's a big wine, but I like it! It's very difficult to find in California, so I'm happy to find a couple of bottles.

That's an eclectic mix. Retail or auction?

Retail except for the 2011 Quinta da Leda

I'm mostly trying some new stuff for fun. Let's call it a poor substitute for the The Five Regions Tour. The Casal Da Azenhas are from a very beautiful beach town in the Colares area, so I'm interested in those wines. The Soalheiro is always great, but I thought this years release was better than some. I'm interested in anything associated with Anselmo Mendes... and Azores? I have to try it. I loved his new Dao red wine. Anything from Chocapalha I am interested in trying. And finally Casal Garcia?? Cooking wine. [cheers.gif]

I like this wine. They've always done a great job and at a good price (usually around $24 around me)

I think we buy at the same shop! [friends.gif]
I am loving the 2019 Soalheiro Alvarinho . One of my favorite years of Soalheiro, but really deserves some time.
