- 2003 Quinta do Vale Meão Douro - Portugal, Douro (10/28/2005)
Tasted at Quinta do Crasto in the Douro - Almost Burgundian in its presentation. Red fruit nose. Beautiful entry. Must swallow twice to finish it! Finer than almost any Chateauneuf du Pape. Medium-full bodied. Really, really fine. Medium tannins. Long, long finish. I love this! (97 pts.)

Thanks for letting me know the current state of this wine. I've burried all of mine in the cellar. This was a note from a "Douro Boys" tasting at Crasto. Vale Meao was one of many producers showing their wines. It was a treat to meet Francisco Olazabal here.KIPPER wrote:Tasted at Do Crasto?
That's Francisco on the left and the bottle of Vale Meao in the foreground
