Does anybody know if there will be any VINIPORTUGAL tastings in the USA in 2009? Mario?

Cheers!

I was speaking to an official of the IVDP and ViniPortugal around 2 a.m. my time ... and this was one of my many items for discussion. It seems like there will be a bunch of trade tastings that will revolve around the 2007 VP declaration, that no one is allowed to "call" yet. So they are waiting until next month when it can be made official and dates should be released at that time. That is the best I can tell you at this moment in time.

I would certainly think that we'll see ViniPortugal and others here in the USA this year. But that is just my opinion, nothing I've heard "officially" as of yet.

Marco since you are not too far from Montreal, I don't have the official date but there will be an IVDP port/wine fair in Fall 2009. It should be late October early November as usual.

Marco,
I've not heard anything as of yet, but I too am waiting to find out. I have always loved these tastings and they have always sold out and been a huge hit here in the LA area. I do hope they are able to hold them again this year.

How do I get a "press ticket"

Is this the event Andy mentioned to me a while back?

Be press :scholar: [rotfl.gif]

Yes, and they generally do a press/trade tasting only at the beginning and then it opens to the public.

Moses won't even write up and share his Port tasting notes, how do we arrange a press pass?

Well, the fair was postpone to 2010... But the Symingtons will come to Montreal to showcase their 2007 on the morning of 16th of October. It is a private event, but if someone really wants to be there is a 100% sure he can attend, I can try to open a spot for you.
