From memory it was a young-looking dark purple color with a nose of strawberries, blackberries and boysenberries as well as some spirit. Lots of sweet berry fruit on the palate with good acidity, some pepper on the midpalate and a finish that is mildly tannic and rather hot, although being that this bottle didn't even last for an hour after being opened it's likely that we just didn't give it enough time to mellow out.
