Decant: 3½ hours - Bottled 2009. Deep red, with a clear rim and a centre that was 95% opaque. Youthful and vibrant on the nose, with plenty of youthful fruit. Modest entry, gentle fruit in early maturity. Lots of heat on the mid-palate, but with an enjoyable milk-chocolate core. Generous acidity supports the structure. A pleasant aftertaste and finish of mildly dirty fruit. Very enjoyable. Served blind, this was guessed to be Offley 1989. 86 points
