1974 Kopke Colheita Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: Not Known - Bottled 2012. Pale brown straw in colour, with a yellow / green rim. Lovely and expressive on the nose, full of butterscotch. Showing sweet tangerines on entry, with a nicely balanced but acidic entry, presence builds well on the palate. There is an acidic attack on the back of the throat when swallowing, then a long and dry butterscotch finish which slowly changes into a dry tangerine taste. Served blind, I guessed this to be a Quevedo 20 year old tawny. 83 points
