1955 Ferreira Vintage Port

Post by Tom D. »

Remarkably youthful medium cherry-garnet color. Berry, licorice and spice, not tremendously complex or structured, but overall very clean and impeccably balanced. A really fine showing, drinking much younger than 1955. Neck fill, clean cork, EWR import. 94 pts

Thanks for the note! This is my favorite Ferreira VP. Glad it showed well!

Thanks David. I really did enjoy this one, the balance was superb. It was probably the most enjoyable '55 I've tasted, other than a bottle of Taylor that showed unbelievably well a couple years ago. I hope I'm able to track down a couple more bottles.
