d'Oliveira 1900 Moscatel Madeira?

Post by Steven Kooij »

I've been offered a bottle of this wine for a reasonable 200 Euros. It is still a LOT of money, so...is this worth buying? Also, how would it compare to a Setubal of the same age? TIA!

I have had this wine along with the 1900 J M Fonseca Setubal... although both wines were wonderful and possesed layers upon layers of flavors, the D'Oliveira Madeira was the hands down winner... much more focus and intensity.

Thanks for the heads-up Marco. I went to the store today, but the Moscatel was sold... :( They did have the Malvazia for the same price, so I got that one instead! 8)
