As noted in the
Port & Madeira Marketplace, Benchmark Wines was having a sale so I expanded my little 1985 horizontal to 17 different Ports. :) I already had Dow, Fonseca, Graham, Kopke, Taylor, and Warre, to which I added:
1 Barros Port 1985 $56.00
1 Calem Port 1985 $30.00
1 Cockburn Port 1985 $55.00
1 Ferreira Port 1985 $49.00
2 Gould Campbell Port 1985 $52.00 ea
1 Offley Boa Vista Port 1985 $54.00
1 Quarles Harris Port 1985 $52.00
1 Quinta do Infantado Port 1985 $29.00
1 Quinta do Noval Port 1985 $48.00
1 Ramos Pinto Port 1985 $45.00
2 Smith Woodhouse Port 1985 $64.00 ea
I picked up the extra Gould Campbell and Smith Woodhouse to give me something to drink while waiting for a good time to have a horizontal. Then I also picked up these because they were just too cheap to pass up:
4 Real Companhia Velha Vintage Port 1970 $30.00 ea
And lastly, I also won 12 x 1985 Graham at WineBid.com. Should have read the fine print first, though, because the final invoice was 25% higher than what I bid because of their exhorbitant 14% buyer's premium, 1% insurance, and 10.925% California sales tax. ARRGH!
