Yes. Not all are good with Port, but I think my local grocer has at least five and probably ten different Stiltons, and some are milder and pair nicely with Port. I don't know how authentic they all are. Mango and ginger? It is tasty.

Last night with 2003 Quinta do Vesuvio, our favorite cheese was a Stilton with berries in it. The Stilton wasn't too strong and the berries very tasty and complementary.

walked past Arcádia yesterday (traditional chocolate shop from Porto - http://www.arcadia.pt) and noticed they are selling boxes with chocolates and a 375 bottle of Port (Cálem). They also sell chocolate that has Port inside.

Great marketing and it's one of those ways to get people hooked on Port.

I have watched this thread with interest and am surprised that no one has answered the question correctly...

Q. Does port and chocolate really make a good pairing?

A. Yes, if you like port with chocolate.

Do I win a prize?

I had a great mix of Port and chocolate all-in-one, last night. It was called 2003 Harlan Cabernet Sauvignon.

Not a real fan of the Maiden although I believe I still have one left. 1994 Harlan is still possibly my all-time favorite CA Cab, along with 1991 Dominus and Seavey too. But back to the chocolate and Port theme of this thread.
