I've had 8 of those Ports in the past and sorry the 1945s did not show well. Bottle variation strikes again.
I would have loved to try the 1948 Kopke, how did that turn out, Allan?

Sorry Roy, I just woke up.... That tasting was amazing, But most of All, it was the friendship and a total crazy evening with exciting people, that made the Day and night so special!
Kopke 1948:
Color: Dark Coca Cola
Palete: a deeep spicy bouquette with burnt sugar
Taste: Dark and juicy, with concentrate of fruits, spice and a Black pebber finish

Thanks to my friend Steen, for the notes and points! I am very good at drinking ports, But to nail the taste, is still a difficult task for me!
Steen had scored the Kopke 1948, Niepoort 1937 and Noval 1945 as his top three, All with 93 points. - my top three, was exactly the same.....with Warre 1945 and Taylor 1935 following close.
