I’ve seen one made out of wire that worked. Really all one needs is something not too wide but not too narrow that will stay super hot for about 30 Seconds.

The hard part is making a handle that won’t burn your hands.

Bought some 9 gauge steel wire to play around with and gave up on the idea. Much too hard to tightly wrap around the neck of the bottle.
Tongs or nothing is where I am at.

Anyone knows where to purchase port tongs? I've found one on https://porttongs.com/ but $160 is a steep price for such a simple device.
