I would also encourage anyone else who visits Porto this fall, try the Francesinha and then post your impressions of the quality of this sandwich and tell others here, the name of the restaurant where you tried it.

So today was the day that Andy was to lose his Francesinha virginity. In fact, the entire day had been secretly planned around visiting restaurants all over Gaia and Porto during a nearly 12 hour period, to make sure he got his "FILL." [rotfl.gif]

Beyond the 27,684 calories he ingested today ... I believe it is safe to say that Andy wonºt be eating another Francesinha sandwich anytime soon.

Good,
Andy needs to gain some weight, if only to make the rest of us look not so large. [d_training.gif]

So that's what, just 3 restaurants?

Andy's probably trying to figure out how he can get a Fracesinha into his musette for a big race, just one of those sandwiches would keep you going for a couple hundred miles!

Actually we had 7 places to visit and wound up doing 7 Francesinhas at a total of 6 restaurants.

In that case you may have underestimated the caloric intake!

You are absolutely correct. That is why I though i was having an appendix attack at 5 a.m. after not having eaten much for weeks during the Fair. Ouch!
