Tasted on june 24 2010

After a glass or two of pop-and-pour i gave this wine three days of air just resting in bottle.

Very dark purple.
Nose of dark, blue fruit.
Palate of blackberries and some black currant, tasty sweetness of the kind i like (and perhaps have learned to refer to as a graham-like style), a bit spicy.
Good concentration and well-balanced with firm tannins.
Not overwhelming, but a solid and enjoyable port.

Hi Sebastian,

Congratulations on being the individual to place the 3,000th tasting note on the Forum! :salute:

Did you notice much change from the earlier pop and pour tastes vs. what you enjoyed 3 days later?

Cool, do i get a prize?

Yes i noticed quite a bit, in such way that it was closed and obviously a waste not to let it get some air.
But i must say, half a year ago i would not have recognised that tightness as the wine being closed. I didn't even know a wine could be open or closed.
That and much more I learned from this forum. And that, my fellow portlovers, is a prize i value very highly. :thanks: [cheers.gif]

I somehow missed tasting this one when it was released, so I recently bought a few bottles and while I won't get to it this week, hopefully next week I can finally try it for myself. I guess the expression "Better late than never" applies
