A few years ago, my wife and I went to Tomar. There was an old synagogue there that was being maintained by one of the only 2 Jews left in the city. He was a lawyer. The other was a doctor. Of course.

I recently found out I have ancestors that lived in Azores and Cape Verde.

Over the short time we were in Tomar on our tour, the synagogue was closed, unfortunately, so we didn't get a chance to see it. We did get to see a lot in Belmonte, though.
