Light in colour, clear and pale centre. Nose showing some signs of maturity with the typical attractive mace and all spice over sweet redcurrant that is typical of a mature Cockburn. Elegant and restrained in the mouth, redcurrant around an attractive spiciness. Subdued tannins and pleasing acidty. Good, spicy aftertaste, which is of good length although not too long. Miguel Corte-Real suggested this was very slightly TCA tainted so as to flatten the wine just a shade. 91 points
