TN: 1966 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: 4½ hours - Light edge, clear centre. Toffee and coffee fudge on the nose. Dry entry with a watery texture. The sweetness comes through as part of the mid-palate, bringing a flood of restrained strawberry syrup. Still some tannins in the wine but most of the structure comes from the acidity that balances the syrup. The aftertaste is slow to develop and never really arrives. 5/5. 91 points
