Decant: None - Bottled 2006. Mid red colour, orange at the rim. Nose of strawberry syrup, with a touch of dust. Alcohol well integrated. In the mouth the wine brought a strong impression of ripe redcurrants and cranberries. Sweet and well balanced mid-palate with pleasing complexity. Some tannins show themselves but most of the structure comes from the acidity in the wine. The aftertaste is lovely, a slight burn on swallowing but then a lovely, long length of sweet candied cherries. 89 points
