Decant: Just Opened - Deep and opaque with a touch of purple on the rim. Menthol nose, a touch too spirity. Fruity impact, smooth and silky. Huge tannins that mask the complexity this wine might offer. Tannins come across as too dominant and out of balance with the wine. General consensus is that the wine is shuuting down and will go through a dumb phase for a time now. The fruit is there to give the wine the time to develop, but it is hugely tannic at the moment. 84 points
