TN: 1991 Ramos Pinto Vintage Port

Decant: 4 hours - Purchased from Wadebridge Wines. A very high fill, just below the base of the 44mm cork (17mm inner diameter bottle neck).
Filtered through unbleached coffee paper off a small amount of fairly fine sediment. Transparent, but deeply coloured centre with the first signs of bricking at the rim. Lovely nose of sweet bramble jam with a slight high tone. Voluptuous fruit in the mouth with lots of baby fat, hiding a gently tannic and acidic structure; super rich texture and some great complexity in the mid-palate. Long and lingering aftertaste. Really nice wine - my third Ramos Pinto and I am now convinced that this is a name to look out for in the future. 4/5.
Continuing to drink extremely well 24 hours on from this tasting note. 90 points
