TN: 2007 Quinta Do Noval Silval Vintage Port

Decant: 2 hours - The grapes for the Silval were all sourced from Noval in 2007 (as happened in 2005). Violet rim and a centre that is just transparent. Some alcohol shows on the nose (but the room was quite warm) over a blackcurrant essence. Very soft and silky texture with luscious fruit and an interesting herby / woody core. The tannins were soft and gentle. A long aftertaste, not big but certainly persistent. Easy to drink now. 86-88. 86 points
