TN: 1955 Taylor Vintage Port

Decant: 6 hours - Ruby centre, redcurrant jelly on the nose - a huge bouquet that lifts sweetly out of the glass. Surprisingly hollow when it first enters the mouth and takes a long time to deliver. But when it does - wow! What a combination of flavours and complexity. There is the typical Taylor burn when you swallow, but this fades quickly and leaves a long and powerful aftertaste. A very big wine, impressive today and with many years ahead of it. Probably the best overall port at the Third TPF Christmas Offline. 92/100 92 points
