Decant: 4½ hours - Light in colour with a pale rim, slightly cloudy. A nose of dates and crushed eucalyptus leaves. Sweet, candied fruit stewed and steeped in syrup dominate the flavours when you take the first sip, a lovely thick texture and good balance. Hardly any tannins still show and the wine brings a great development in the mid palate. The aftertaste glows and lingers for a long time, long and full. A very good port from a vintage with a reputation for weak wines, this does not fit into that category and is a beautiful wine that it drinking at its peak. 7/6. 91 points
