TN: 1982 Taylor Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Port

Decant: 24 hours double decanted - Paler in colour than the 1978 shown alongside. Smelling oddly of stale coffee grindings. Simple and bland on the tongue; dry and showing little fruit. A lot of work in the mouth brings out some sweet redcurrants. The aftertaste lives up to the rest of the experience. Not a wine to seek out, although not offensive. 82 points
