TN: 1970 Warre Vintage Port

Decant: 3½ hours - Deep colour, centre clear but dark. Sweet nose, strawberry syrup but with a lovely grassiness and herbaceous tone. Very sweet in the mouth compared to the older wines in the tasting; flavoursome but with a touch of mustiness - perhaps very mild TCA. Sweet, red licorice on the aftertaste - or perhaps sweetened cranberries. Quite a delicious wine. 88 points
