Decant: 4 hours - Darkest of the wines on show, other than the '94. Surprisingly closed on the nose. Harsh and acidic in the mouth, very tannic but with some dark fruit showing through. A big burn on swallowing; drying tannins coat the cheeks briefly before giving way to a low level of lingering cranberry - a mix of bitterness and fruit. A poor wine, overly tannic and acidic for the level of fruit in the wine. 83 points
