from after the 2010 Port Harvest Tour
tasted at Vinologia with 2 couples from Ontario
Quinta de Santa Eufemia 10 Year Old Tawny Port
The tawny port of our flight. Tasted and felt much older than 10 years - closer to a 20 Year Old to me. Good balance of acidity, sweetness, and texture. I didn't think it paired well with the anise-soaked chestnuts, and that's even not counting the fact that I'm not fond of anise. 89 points.
In retrospect that score seems low because I recall thinking it was pretty good for a 10 Year Old, but I'll let it stand since my memory may be clouded.
