1992 Burmester Colheita

Bottled 2010

Opened 4 days ago:

Appearance: Light orange with a very noticable red hue. Think it has become more orange over the last couple of days

Nose: A little alchohol, raisins?, some anise

Taste: Plums and raisins galore! Good tannic edge keeps it all in place, no burn at all - maybe also som heather honey notes?

Finish: Just smooooth with a more of a ripe red berry finish

Comments: Had this one over a couple of days now, and think it’s starting to deteriorate – Think maybe this bottling shouldn’t live past 3 days…or maybe it’s just the spicy food I had earlier tonight?

Score: This will still creep up to a good 86/100 in my book – A very good Colheita

After having 2 glasses of this tonight with a couple of hours in between, I must admit that maybe the Chicken Tikka Massala I had earlier influenced my first score at 86p
Now that my palate is rested and I I go for it again, it's worth atleast 2 points more... so my final score of this is 88.

The tasting notes should maybe not be all good, though, since my tastebuds was numbed by the spicy food

Cheers,
Claus
