Tasted at Porto Quevedo in S. João da Pesqueira on 06-OCT-2010 as part of the 2010 Port Harvest Tour.
Blind tasting of 2004 LBV, 2005 LBV, and 2008 VP.

2008 Quevedo Vintage Port (cask sample)

Color: Dark purple. 1/4" fade at the rim. Dense and opaque. Good legs.
Nose: Dark and black. Blackberry, cassis, plum.
Palate: Rich, tart, and tannic. Lots of black fruit layered with some tart red fruit. Tannins are strong but very smooth. (Maybe fine is a better word?)
Finish: Grippy, with lots of black fruits. Good length.

Score: 93 points. After tasting all 3, I figured this was a Vintage Port because it was so much deeper and more complex than the other two. I also though it was clearly the youngest of the three Ports, so guessed 2007 Vintage Port. Only off by 1 year, so not bad!
