Tasted at Quinta de Vargellas with Alistair Robertson, David Guimaraens, and 2 bats on 07-OCT-2010 as part of the 2010 Port Harvest Tour.
1987 Taylor Vargellas Vintage Port
Dark ruby or garnet in the glass. Some spice, some tomatoes, and something earthy - possibly mushrooms - on the nose. Medium weight in the mouth, with red fruits and tomatoes? Good tannins and acidity. Smooth. Not mellow but quite good. Needs about 5 more years.
