Bottle brought home from the FTLOP Harvest Tour 2010. Decanted 4 hrs. Deep dark red colour. Strong nice aroma of young fruit (dark berries), a typical young vintage aroma. Smooth, balanced, powerful, some dryness in the middle part, pleasant amounts of tannins. Medium to full body. Medium length in the finish. A very nice young vintage port. Gave the same score as noted during tasting at DOC restaurant October 2010. 93 pts.

Rune,

Consistent you are. :winepour:

Glad you liked it. How did Emmy like it?

I just checked my notes ... although not from the Tour, but had one at 91 and the other at 92. A very solid VP!

We both enjoyed this VP on Christmas Eve, however she gave gave a couple of points lower.
Her taste is fairly close to mine, but when having a choice, she prefers them older where the "fruitiness" is not dominating the taste as much as it does for the young VPs.

Yes, as I got to know your wife a little bit during the tour, I could tell she was more enamored when we were drinking the older bottlings.

I hope you will go to our Port Forum when you have time, Rune; and post what you are planning to have on New Years Eve ... which is coming a lot sooner for you than some of us! Look forward to drinking together again some day in the not too distant future. Please send Emmy my best regards, too!
