1955 Ferreira Vintage Port

Part of the '55 @ 55 tasting at the RAF Club in London with special guest Christian Seely on 12-OCT-2010 after the 2010 Port Harvest Tour.
1955 Ferreira Vintage Port
Color: Middling dark, pleasant to look at.
Nose: Dry mustard.
Palate: Relatively lively and young, but a bit hot and harsh.
Finish: Warm, a flash of green
Score: 88 points. Others ranked this one higher, but I couldn't help but draw unfavorable comparisons between it and a '60 Ferreira that I liked a lot. Concensus ranked it 3rd of the first flight behind the Fonseca and the Graham.
