NV Warre's Warrior Port

Bought a bottle to replace the corked one I had last week and this one was popped and poured this evening. A primary nose of grapes, blueberrries, and some violets. Sweet up front, I was surprised by how quickly this turned dry on the back palate and especially the finish. In some ways it reminded me of a younger Dow's VP. Some menthol also appears on the finish of this medium bodied Port. Everything is well placed and balanced on this very solid Port.

Day 2 and I'm really digging this Port. The edges have smoothed out just a tad giving it a slightly more silky feel. Trader Joe's has it for $13 and at that price this will now be added to my rotation of Reserve Ruby Ports

I like this one also - for a cheap day to day drinker - not impressed with the trendy bottle makeover with stylised horse's head (preferred original bottle) but anywho, i digress - you really need to open and leave this for a day or 2, to let the spirity nose subside, after that it's not to shabby.
