2008 Quinta Nova Touriga Nacional Douro DOC
A lovely violet nose, this wine sneaks up on you. Starting out a bit soft, this slowly built up into a full well structured wine that had a lengthy finish. While it drinks well now, I I’d cellar this at least 2-4 years, or a long decant, for it to start showing it’s best. It’s not easy to make this grape as a single varietal wine, but Quinta Nova did a wonderful job.
