I admit I wasn't sure how this would be holding up after 8 years, being from a tough vintage, but I love trying things I've never had. This took about 30 minutes for this to fully open up with ripe cherries and some light tannins giving it a slight chalky texture that kept it from being too tart. While this lacks a little in the complexity department, it went very well with my pasta dinner and is still lively and interesting. This is holding nicely and doesn't show signs of fading, although I don't see it getting any better at this point. Drink over the next 2-4 years for maximum enjoyment.
87 Points.
