TN: 2007 Quinta Vale Dona Maria Douro red

Decanted 1.5 hrs. Deep red colour with a touch of purple. Aroma with a lot of fresh fruit and actually some asphalt. A structured wine, powerful with acceptable level of tannins, plenty of fruit, full body. It has character, but not really elegant. Long finish. A significant step up from the regular Van Zeller Douro red. 91 pts.
