1980 Graham Vintage Port
served blind

Color: Dark red, pretty in the glass.
Nose: Alcohol, some fruit. Not a lot to distinguish it from anything else.
Palate: Very nice! Round, semi-sweet, and rich. Quite a break from the nose.
Finish: Tannins and a slight edge, otherwise nice. Apples on the tail. Long.

Score: 91 points. Most powerful Port of the first flight, but seemed out of sorts. I wrote down Dow but then scratched it out because it was too sweet and didn't have that tartness that I've come to associate with Dow.

Glenn - I'm curious to know how your review of the '80 Dow's that we drank at the vertical compares to this one...

I'm cleaning up a bunch of backlogged TNs over the next couple of days and will get to the Dow vertical eventually. Our '80 Dow showed better than the one in this tasting, though.

Oops - I meant to reply on the Dow's note, not this one, but I guess you get what I meant.
