Put in the refrigerator about two hours before serving, so chilled but not fully cold. Pop and pour.

Goldenrod to orange color, crystal clear. Aromas of deep wood with alcohol warmth, light tobacco, floral perfume, and faint apricot. Later I noticed a slight smokiness and dried cherry, and the wood which made me first think of oak also smelled a bit of cedar, and then I wrote down cinnabar when I smelled something that reminded me of incense. Upon reflection, I think that aroma may have instead been sandlewood. The alcohol aroma carried into the mouth with warming there too. There was also an apricot flavor along with orange marmalade and sweet barrel. A mild tang from the acid carried into the medium finish.

A crowd pleaser with nothing left for the next day -- 93 points.

This was bottled 2007, and despite the short time since, was a leaker. Pulling the cork revealed it was flawed, with a very thin dark line down the length allowing the leak. As a result, I picked this up for the low price of $57.50 winebid, and was not at all disappointed with the result.

A great price for a great Port! I really like this Port and relish the years I have set aside to open another bottle from my stash. Sadly that's next year, not this year.

That really is a great price - doesn't sound like the leakage did much harm at all. Nice note! [cheers.gif]
