1977 Dow's Vintage Port $109!! (other online prices $115-$165!)
Dear Oenophile,
One of the restaurants I worked at in Alaska, The Marx Brothers, ALWAYS had some stock of today's killer Port for sale by the glass. If we didn't have that, the fallback was 77 Smith-Woodhouse, also tasty. But we all preferred Dow's, and we sold TONS of it. When it's -7 degrees, wind howling, aurora borealis swirling outside the stained glass window, what could be more pleasant than finishing your meal of tea-smoked duck with a glass of '77 Port? Well, how about another glass? We'd lock the front doors, hang out until about 2AM, sipping the lovely Dow's and blasting Nine Inch Nails (this was back in 1995), mustering up the courage to run to our cars and use a lighter to melt the ice of of our door locks. Yup, good times.
Anyway, suffice it to say we found a tremendously well-priced parcel of this classic Dow from the universally excellent 1977 Port vintage, impeccably stored in a deep underground cavern until now. We have THE BEST PRICE IN THE COUNTRY. DON'T MISS this....you cannot go wrong having a few bottles (esp. at this price) in your cellar, it will last for many many decades more...!! ARRIVES LATE 2011. First come, first serve!
Please let us know what we can do for you! --Stefan
